Opinion Writing: Review Anthologies

First graders are finishing up a unit about opinion writing. They wrote reviews about movies, games, restaurants, video games, and more. They worked to convince their readers to share their opinions.

We reviewed our research notes, draw technical drawings, and worked together to add labels and captions to give "teaching power" to share what we know about animals and their habitats.

As part of our animal research project, we had a few special guests from Drumlin Farm. We met some mice and a turtle and talked about their habitat and observed them in our very own classroom! Thanks PTO for sponsoring the visitors!
